HINGES

Door hinges provide access to cabinet doors. Our standard is a 110-degree soft-close unit made by Blum. Though a variety of manufacturers provide an assortment of hinges to accomplish various operations and aesthetics.

On face frame cabinets, we prefer to use the compact soft close units as they are less intrusive and a bit more stylish. Top hinged cabinets require a specialty hardware to keep the doors in the open position.

GLIDES

Drawers run on glides. They may be side-mounted, under-mounted or mounted top & bottom and commonly specified as full-extension soft close. Glides are sized to the depth of the cabinet box and weight of the intended storage capacity.

Our standard is full extension under mounted glides like the ones pictured here. We find they provide the most stability and functionality.

HANDLES

Knobs and pulls are generally drilled and assembled in the doors and drawers after installation. With a myriad of sizes and styles to choose from, it is often difficult to decide. We suggest the guidance of an interior designer to assist not only with the specified product, but it's placement as well.

Knobs and pulls are generally not installed at the cabinet shop. It is customary for them to be installed after the cabinets have been installed, and all other work has been done on or around the cabinets.
